1. Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong Macao SAR Statistical Yearbook 2008 is an annual publication, which covers social and economic statistical data of 16cities of the Yangtze River delta, 14 cities of the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong and Macao SAR from 1978 to 2007, therefore reflects various aspects of social and economic development of the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the Peal River Delta, Hong Kong and Macao SAR.

2. The book consists of three chapters

(1). Overview and analysis This chapter includes two general reports which provided by International Statistical Information Center of National Bureau of Statistics and National Economic Reform Institute-China Reform Foundation respectively, four individual reports provided by Shanghai city and Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong province, and several contributing articles.

(2). Statistical data This chapter includes three sub- chapters, namely the general report form, the data of main social and economic development indicators of 30 prefecture-level cities and counties belong to the Yangtze River Delta Pearl River Delta, and the statistical data of Hong Kong Macro SAR.
