In 2004, China conducted its first national economic census. Economic Census, in accordance with international practice, the National Bureau of Statistics based on economic census data for 2004 and prior years GDP was re-calculated and revised historical data. To maintain the flow of funds accounts and the GDP accounting harmonization, National Bureau of Statistics census data and based on economic changes in accounting methods, on the 1992-2003 National Flow of Funds in-kind transactions section was amended.
