I. Henan Statistical Yearbook 2010, is an annual statistical publication, which comprehensively reflects the economy and society development of Henan. It widely covers data for 2009 and key statistical data in some historically important years of Henan, at data for 2009 year at the national level and the local levels of province ,autonomous region and municipality directly under the Central Government.
II. The yearbook contains the following twenty-nine parts, l. Divisions of Administrative Areas and Natural Resources; 2.General Survey; 3.National Accounts; 4.Population; 5.Employment and Wages; 6.Investment in Fixed Assets, 7. Foreign Trade; 8. Energy; 9.Government Finance; 10.Price Indices; 11.People’s Livelihood; 12.General Survey of Cities; 13.Agriculture; 14.Industry; 15.Construction; 16.Transport, Storage and Post; 17.Information Transmission, Computer Services and Software; 18.Wholesale and Retail Sale trades, Hotels and Catering Services; 19.Financial Intermediation; 20.Real Estate; 21.Leasing and Business Services; 22.Scientific Research, Technical Services and Geologic Prospecting; 23.Management of Water Conservancy, Environment and Public Facilities; 24.Services to Households and Other Services; 25.Education; 26.Health, Social Security and Social Welfare; 27.Culture, Sports and Entertainment; 28.Public Management and Social Organizations;29.Main Indicators of County and City; 30.Main Indicators of the Whole Nation and 31 Provinces (Municipality, Autonomous Regions). there is brief description at the beginning of each chapter, and Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are at the end of each chapter.
Ⅲ. In comparison with Henan Statistical Yearbook 2009, following revisions have been made in this new version in terms of the statistical contents and in editing:
1. Considering the factors of three requirements, moving the " Foreign Trade " article to " Investment in Fixed Assets " article.
2. Increasing the data of services to part of General Survey
3. According to the classification standard of the third industry, compiling the Department data for 13 chapters.
4. Because of The R&D Resources inventory, Data on Scientific Research, Technical Services and Geologic Prospecting are not include R&D here.
5. Reflecting the economic census data in 2008.
Ⅳ. The major data sources of this publication are obtained from annual statistical reports, and some from sample surveys.
V. The units of measurement used in this yearbook are internationally standard measurement units.
VI. Statistical discrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this yearbook.
VII. The notes concerning the whole table are placed at the upper part of the table, while the notes concerning individual indicators are placed at the lower part. If the table occupied more than one page, the footnotes of the individual indicators are placed at the end of the last page.
VIII. Notations used in this yearbook: “(Blank)” indicates that the data are unknown or are not available; “#”Indicates a major breakdown of the total.
